Buttery Salmon Pasta

Salmon is my favorite fish. It’s rich, flavorful for fish oil, so even though I’m trying to be a vegetarian, sometimes I want to cheat my eating habit with salmon. Tanooki’s ref had some canned salmon left, so let’s have a cheating/break day!

Buttery Salmon Pasta



Buttery Salmon Pasta ingredients

  • 5 oz of penne pasta
  • ½ cup of edamame in pods
  • 5 tablespoon of canned salmon
  • 1 tablespoon of butter
  • 1 teaspoon of white dashi / 1 teaspoon of bonito stock
  • Some black pepper
  • Some sesame seeds
  • Optional – some Thai pepper


  1. Cook penne pasta and edamame
    Cook penne pasta and edamame
    Boil water in a large pan and cook edamame about 5 min, remove edamame and cook penne. While cooking penne, take out edamame beans from pods.edamame
  2. Bring penne and other ingredients altogether.

    When penne is soft enough, drain them from pan and return to the pan without turning on heat. Add edamame, salmon, white dashi, and butter. sprinkle some black pepper and mix until they are well mixed.

  3. Set out dish
    Transfer penne into a plate and sprinkle some sesame seeds.


Nom, nom, nom…

umm, I think I should enroll some college where they can teach how to catch salmon. One day, I’d own salmon factory and eat all of them with this recipe!
