Hello there, welcome to my new posting!
Oops. I did it.
My local store has nice fresh herbs, so I bought perilla leaves to make perilla and sour plum rice for dinner.
I picked a bag up but I immediately felt strange. The perilla’s color was lighter green than usual. I sniffed but couldn’t feel the smell that much. The sign said they are perilla, so I took one home with still feeling a little strange. (I could keep sniffing it, but I didn’t want other people feel strange looking at me keep doing that for a long time :P)
After I got home, I noticed it wasn’t perilla but something else with flavor of lemon. I googled it and found out they were actually lemon balm.
Goodbye, today’s dinner, perilla rice… and welcome, my new recipe!
As long as they are nice and refreshing flavor of lemon, why don’t I make tea with it!?
Let’s have tea party with tea made with this lemon balm syrup!!:D
