Hello! Welcome to my new posting!
I shared the recipe of pork and leek dumpling before. At that time, I was feeling a little guilty. I was trying to be a vegetarian/vegan, but the recipe was using pork. It tasted great, but this time, I wanted to make vegetarian version, so I made the filling using just napa and leek. They have just veggies, but still taste awesome! If you feel like dumpling today, let’s try!
Napa and Leek Dumplings
<Ingredients for about 20 medium/small dumplings>
- 200g of all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 130cc of hot water
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
- 2 cups of nappa cabbage – shredded
- 1 cup of chives – chopped
- Some salt and pepper
- ½ tablespoon Sesame oil
- Some sesame oil to grill dumplings
- ¼ cup water to steam grill dumplings
- Knead dumpling skin
In a large bowl, put every ingredients for skin and knead well.
- Cook fillings
In a large pan, put sesame oil and cook napa cabbage and chives. Sprinkle some salt and pepper to taste.
- Wrapping time!
Pick about 1 tablespoon of dumpling skin and stretch to make round shape with rolling pin. Put about 1 teaspoon of filling on the center of skin, and wrap.
- Grill dumplings
In a large pan, place dumplings and pour sesame oil and bring it to medium high heat. Cook for about 5 min and pour water. Close lid and wait until the water is boiled up.
Good with rice as dinner, but it is also good as quick bite with cold beer! 😛
Enjoy cooking and dumplings!:D
