Come on a journey. You step into a local grocery store and find a product for 3 for $x on sale, how many of them do you buy?
*There is no breakdown price stated in case you just buy one.
*There is no notice of “must buy 3 to get the sales price” in a small, tiny font.
If you answer buying 3, you are my friend. Now, I have you as friend and 3 heads of huge iceberg lettuce. I wonder how long they can last fresh. Maybe 1 week? I have to take advantage of the sales price, so let’s enjoy it with my delicious homemade lemon sesame dressing!
<Today’s Recipe>
Lettuce Salad with Lemon Sesame Dressing
<Ingredients>
- ¼ head of iceberg lettuce – chopped
- 1 medium carrots – shredded
For Dressing
- 2 tablespoons lemon/lime juice
- 1 tablespoons sesame oil
- Some garlic powder
- Some crushed chili
- Some sesame seeds
<Directions>
Mix ingredients for dressing in a small bowl. In another bowl, toss lettuce, carrots and dressing together and serve!
Pretty easy but incredibly delicious! Citrus’ zesty and vibrant flavor with toasted sesame oil are definitely good partners, and sprinkled crushed chili gives a little kick too!
Now I have 2 and ¾ heads of lettuce. Cross fingers in my battle with lettuce challenge!
