Cottage Cheese Salad

Sigh…someone said I can substitute paneer with cottage cheese. My mind was occupied with Indian curry with paneer, but when I opened cottage cheese, I realized my mistake.

Wow, is cottage cheese lumpy like this!? I thought it’s more like firm tofu!

I should know that, but I never paid attention to cottage cheese before, so even though a lot of salad restaurants offered cottage cheese, this was truly my first time to try it. I used some for my Indian curry anyway after realizing cottage cheese and paneer are totally different, but I still have some left.

Sigh…wait until we see at last, paneer. But! Tanooki isn’t weak. Just a tiny mistake can’t beat me up! Cottage cheese tastes good anyway!

So here is a recipe with cottage cheese. Turn a mistake into success. This is Tanooki!

I was hoping cottage cheese would be a substitute for mayonnaise, and it turned out great! Cottage cheese’s mild, milky flavor gives creamy dressing effect and naturally salty taste doesn’t require more additives.

Umm, my mistake was actually one of my finest plays in my life!

Enjoy home cooking and your own creation of homemade food:)
