Product Review: Fully cooked Falafel from Trader Joe’s

Since we are on a vegetarian diet, we have to ignore the meat section in grocery stores. But, sometimes our mind is occupied with crispy crunchy fried chickens. Whenever our mind is blasted, I get some falafel to calm our occupied mind. Falafel is made from chickpeas yet the traits we are looking for, crispy and crunchy deep-fried food, are all in these small balls. Want to make Mediterranean meal? Just grab a bag and enjoy!

On my first sight, they looked so tiny. But to think about it in a positive way, they can perfectly fit in a pita pocket without destroying the bread. As they are using a variety of herbs, they’ve got sophisticated flavorful taste and if you warm up perfectly, the crispy and crunchy texture outside and fluffy inside remain. While they are already edible without seasoning it(in my taste they were a little too salty) but I recommend pairing up with tzatziki sauce!

Pro: Vegetarian friendly Vegan friendly, simple and easy cooking(warming up)

Con: a little too salty?

tzatziki sauce

Enjoy home cooking and your own creation of homemade food:)
