Happy National Plant a Flower Day!
Did you know, today 3/12 is the day to plant a flower and admire how beautiful they are!
Spring is around the corner, and what spring’s best trait is that flowers are blooming. I remember going to Carlsbad Flower Field in Southern California and the tulip festival in Skagit Valley, Seattle. After going there, I get busy choosing which picture to make for my wallpaper on my computer, tablet, phone or even print! In fact one of our best pictures taken in Carlsbad is printed out and hangs on our apartment wall.
I’m lucky to have a balcony in my current apartment, but I’d never lived in an apartment with a balcony when I was in LA and Seattle. So especially for you without a balcony and having trouble planting some flowers, let’s plant them on a plate and admire the beauty of flowers:)
<Today’s Recipe>
Flower Salad
<Ingredients to Make Flower>
- 1 tomato
- 4 snow peas – steamed
- Some cucumber
<Directions>
- Cut tomato in lengthwise and place it on the cutting board, the flat side is on the board.
- Thinly slice it and shift them to make a long line, half of the part is touching to the next one.
- Gently roll the tomatoes and make it look like a flower.
- Place them on the center of your plate. Decorate the snow peas as leaves, cucumber as stem.
I hope my old posting can help visually get the idea:)
It’s beautiful AND edible! The perfect dish for those who are foodie and love flowers:)
Let’s plant a flower today either on a plate or planting pot, and wait till the spring has come!
