Happy World Chocolate Day!
Hello my fellow chocoholics! This is a day for us, let’s grab your favorite chocolate flavored treats!
I’ve been busy since we reached the middle point of this year, but this is a day for me so I used Betty Crocker’s Super Moist chocolate flavored mix. But just using them wasn’t my thing, meaning I’m adventurous, so I added orange flavor into it.
You really don’t need too many extra ingredients to make them or much time to prepare. I know everyone got busy sometimes but let’s have some relaxing time with today’s main flavor: chocolate!
Ready to bake? Let’s do it!

- ½ box Super Moist chocolate flavored mix
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup veg oil
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoon rum
- 2 tablespoon orange peel – chopped
- 1 hand mixed nuts(I used pecan, walnut, almond) – chopped
- Preheat an oven to 375F. Mix egg, oil, orange juice, and rum together in a mixing bowl.
- Add orange peel and nuts.
- Add cake mix and lightly mix.
- Transfer muffin cups in the oven and bake them for 20min.
- Remove from the oven and let them sit for a while to cool. Enjoy!
As I’ve talked in this previous post, If you are making just for you or for small number of people, use half boxes of mix like me. Even though it says super moist, a day old of them can make them hard. Prep time and cooking time isn’t that much so baking small batch can bring you heavenly experience onto your tastebuds.
Mmm, I love chocolate and orange flavor. Glad I had enough oranges to juice it and use them as today’s special treats!
What’s your favorite chocolate pairing flavor?
Oranges like me, strawberries, or mints?
Hmm, I bet everyone can’t pick just one haha!
Happy World Chocolate Day everyone!
