Matcha Ice Cream

Happy belated National Ice Cream Day! 

Did you know, 7/18 was the day to enjoy ice cream! 

So what flavor of ice cream is your favorite? Vanilla? Chocolate? Or fruit, like strawberry? If they are your favorite, just choose Napoleon, they got all three of them;) While I’m saying this, I admire how people’s desire for yummy food grows and have passion to make it happen. Back in old days, there must have NOT been Neapolitan or so many flavors. 

When I came to the US, there was no matcha ice cream. But as many people put an effort to introduce it to the world, people noticed matcha’s existence and fell in love with the bitter sweet. But still it’s a little difficult for me to find matcha flavored ice cream, so here is my version of making matcha ice cream!

Matcha Ice Cream

<Ingredients>

• 2 cups vanilla ice cream
• 2 teaspoons matcha powder *For full review of the product, visit my previous post

 

<Directions>

Mix vanilla ice cream and matcha powder together. If it got too melted, transfer back in a freezer. 

 

Mmm, it’s good especially for the dessert of Japanese food!

While mixing ice cream with matcha powder, it melts easily, just because I’m using a small spoon for dessert.

Well, should I buy ice cream scoop now?;)

Or maybe Ice Cream Maker to make my favorite flavor from the scratch!
