Yay to 1hr Extra Sleep for a Day and Groggy for a Week!

Good morning! For those who live in the country with daylight saving, yay to 1 hour extra sleep yesterday! And I know…it’s just 1 hour but it’s so tough to adjust to the new time, right?

I think my mind is still confused, so I’ll be short today.

Here is yesterday’s brunch.

I enjoyed relaxing time having sunny side up, cheese toast, cucumber and radish salad seasoned with a little salt and nutritional yeast.

Pretty easy, pretty quick to cook.

So daylight saving…Do you like it? Japan doesn’t have the system so I wondered what it’s like to feel suddenly 1 hour disappear/appear in a single day and everyone needs to follow. It’s good that we don’t have a clock that needs to be adjusted manually, but for those who do, it’s a day for a headache, right? I used to enjoy the start day and end day of daylight saving, but as I’m getting older, it’s so annoying…just 1 hour but it’s dragging me for, say, a week or a couple. I’m like where on the earth that precious 1 hour go?

Good luck adjusting the time my friend!

A big Amen to one more hour of sleeping… except my cats don’t pay any attention to it and woke me up and THEIR regular time. Hey, I got inspired and made Coq Au Vin for dinner. Good stuff.

Ouch! Yeah dogs and cats don’t know our official clock is rewinded…what time did you wake up today(or in a correct way, what time did THEY wake you up)?😂

And thank you, I’m interested in your Coq Au Vin😋 Enjoy🥂💕✨

That meal looks delicious! We HATE daylight savings time – a connect for a different era that just isn’t needed any longer!

It’s silly really to let one hour of falling back or springing forward cause such a ripple in your daily routine, but it does. One day I was determined to enjoy that full hour of extra sleep, but my dog didn’t get the memo. She kept waking up an hour earlier for several more days, until she finally got with the program.
I would have no problem walking up an hour earlier if I had breakfast like this waiting for me 🥰

Haha~ I can imagine, your dog’s like “hey, what’s wrong with mom/dad/whole family members? It’s already the time to wake uuuuup”😂😂😂

ANd yeah I agree, eating breakfast is the easiest way to fully wake up🤣🙌💕✨

Meal looks yummy! We don’t like daylight savings time. One cat gets completely confused every time and makes a lot of noise because
she wants her evening treat at the correct time but time’s changed. There’s a lot of shouting for that reason because she’s so confused. It takes her about a week to change. I agree with her the concept is obsolete and creates more trouble than it solves.

Hi Kitty! Haha, you gotta same situation here, I talk about daylight saving here and on my Instagram, and all I hear is people’s furry family member got so furious for getting breakfast 1 hour late🤣 Yes their body clock is so exact, and adjusting human’s time(only in a specific region)take a while😵‍💫💫 Good luck to you, hope you’ll have a pleasant moment to wake up with soon☀️

Your photos look very delicious. I haven’t eaten western breakfast, I mean with bread, toast and such, for almost 4 years now. Seeing yours makes my mouth watering 😋👍

Here in Indonesia, we often eat Nasi Goreng (Fried rice) or Nasi Campur (White rice with a mix of vegetables or/and meat or/and fish) with Sambal (Chili sauce). I can hardly imagine ever again eating bread for breakfast. 😄

Ahhh Nasi Goreng for breakfast sounds so good! Nasi Campur is new to me, so I’d definitely try it when I find an Indonesian restaurant or visit there!✈️💕✨

I actually don’t know if you’d be able to get Nasi Campur in a restaurant as it is a street food here. 😉
You only get it in the small food stalls (Warung) along the road, not in restaurants. I love it because even if you buy it from the same food stall, it’s different every time because the Warung owner cooks whatever is available and/or in season. 😋
There isn’t a menu or such. You look at the food that is served from big plates or bowls that are usually behind a window or inside a glass cupboard, and you just choose whatever looks tasty to you.
Or you tell the owner, how much you want to spend, and your meat preference (or no meat), and then she puts a portion together for you. 😋
I love eating like that because you always discover new, and sometimes very special, food that way.

Oh my, sorry, I just noticed that I wrote half an essay 😬

OMG I love reading your comment, such a fantastic virtual visit to Indonasia❤️ It’s actually a nice head-up since every time I visit somewhere I’m not familiar with, I have to give hawk’s eyes to see what food looks fantastic there and choose the food that satisfy my appetite and taste buds all together😂 Aaaaand thinking about that I need to talk to the owner, I should definitely bring my phone with dictionary🤣

Don’t worry 😉 if the price doesn’t matter (we’re talking about a price of starting around 1,50 and going up to an maximum of 7 or 8$ per portion – but for reaching 7 or 8$, you would need to pick many, many kinds of meat 😉 which doesn’t apply to you, anyways), you can just point at the food that looks interesting 😉👍
You just have to be careful if you don’t like spicy food. 😆 Almost everything reddish has chili in it 😉
