This week is Truly for Chocolate Lovers! Berry Chocolate Milkshake

Happy National Chocolate Milkshake Day! Attention all chocoholics like me, this week has started so wonderfully and this festive vibes continues because tomorrow, 9/13, is International Chocolate Day, and coming Wednesday, 9/14, is National Food is Medicine Day(you know chocolate is not only good for our health but for our soul too!!) So, 2 food holidays which focus on chocolate in a row, and another day perfect for chocolate, so don’t miss this opportunity by giving stupid excuse of “oh my teeth”  or “oh my sugar intake!” Just gobble up the sweety yummy this week!

Well well well, so let’s talk about chocolate milkshakes first because today is National Chocolate Milkshake Day, but let me be super honest with you…chocolate is the least flavor I’d make choice for my milkshake or ice cream. I have been a big fan of vanilla since I was a little kid, so even though I love chocolate itself, milkshake/ice cream and chocolate never interfere.

So why did I make today’s food? I don’t know, but I was craving for something chocolatey!

<Directions>

  1. Mix vanilla ice cream, cocoa powder, berries and oat milk in a blender and turn on the switch until the mixture is evenly, fully mixed.
  2. Pour them into a glass and garnish with creams and fruits. Enjoy!

<Cooking Tips>

  • Of course you can use chocolate ice cream at first hand! I just never have chocolate ice cream in my freezer so I had to add cocoa powder to recreate the flavor!
  • If you prefer rich milkshake, omit oat milk and wait a little bit for the ice cream to melt.
  • If heatwave is hitting in your neighbor, same as above. Just wait for a few minutes and the texture of the milkshake will be perfect! We had heatwave hit us and first one was almost like chocolate milk instead of chocolate milkshake:(

<Tableware Memo>

Yay the pair of 5 oz double wall glass from Sweese joined my kitchen! They’re double-walled so they protect my hand from burning while enjoying hot drinks! For cold drinks like my berry chocolate milkshake, they don’t sweat so you don’t have to worry about wiping the surface of cups…so no worries about slipping and breaking it (remember I’m kitchen klutz? I can’t count how many cups ended up in an unfortunate accident…)

When I received them, I was so excited because they’re packed in a cute box and securely holding these cups with foam pads. As it gets fall drink season, I can imagine myself drinking apple cider, chai tea, or pumpkin latte to enjoy cool weather…If you have anyone who’s birthday is upcoming, consider these cute double-walled cups for gift idea!

Thank you Sweese for such a great gift! My kitchen is adding lovely products from Sweese!

Hmm, we enjoyed them for our afternoon break, and we both were like “hey, where is the second serving?” even though we actually barely get chocolate flavored milkshakes or ice creams…and that reminds us that spoiled kids/seniors complain how they don’t like the specific food but finish it all up in a snap…you guys all can call us such spoiled human beings because I totally agree! And, here is our excuse…it was so good with a hint of berry flavor, so we forgot we always preferred vanilla over chocolate. Yes, chocolate has such a powerful food to make people fall in love with them!

Have some chocolate milkshake today AND grab some chocolate-anything tomorrow and following after day too! You’re the one who’d be the next chocoholic!

    Chocolate or cocoa and berries are always a perfectly delicious mixture. 🤩👍
    I envy you a bit because we hardly have any berries available here, and if there are some, they are so expensive that they should be gold covered to justify the price. 😬

    The new double wall glasses you received look great, too! I can imagine how nice it must be to enjoy a hot drink without burning your fingers and a cold drink without freezing them. 🤩

      Thank you Livia! I wish there’s special door which we open that connect to anywhere so that we can exchange what we like…I’m envy for you that you can enjoy nasi goreng with reasonable price! Also about dorian…that’s the one I still can’t set my hand on😂 Or I think I remember this year dorian harvest doesn’t seem great? How is it now?👀

        Ah, I don’t know if you really want to try durian 😜 I love it but my husband and son hate the smell. It’s really a bit like the locals say: It tastes like heaven but smells like hell. 😜
        Unfortunately, I think the harvest was bad this year. I’ve hardly seen (rather smelled because you usually smell them, before you see them 😜) any durian this year. 😞
        Hopefully, it will be better next year.

        Oh no really!!😱 Then for you, crossing fingers!🤞 And for your husband and son…well, good luck next year too😂👍💕

        Yes a lot of people warn me just like you’re saying the smell could make me gag, but I heard some people even become thief. And to protect dorians to be stolen, farmers hire some guards during harvest time…! It’s so unfortunate that I’ve never tried dorians. I feel like missing out the gem in this planet😂
